People often ask how we manage to get certain prices in the shop.
The simple answer is this.
We buy when the opportunity is there.
Recently we had 24 packs of Diet Coke (24 x 330ml) on sale for £5. The date was only until the end of February. Still perfectly fine. Just short enough for us to buy it at a strong price.
The whole pallet sold in two days.
That is a good example of how we work.
We are not a supermarket with fixed buying cycles. We are independent. That means when stock comes up at the right price, we can act quickly and put it straight on the shop floor.
Some days it might be branded drinks.
Other days it could be fruit & veg, meat or cupboard items.
There is no fixed pattern. That is why regular customers pop in to see what is new.
A lot of people assume farm shops are always expensive. The reality depends on how you buy. We focus on buying well and passing the value on when we can.
What happened with the Diet Coke is typical. Customers see the price, realise it is good value, and it moves quickly. Once it is gone, it is gone.
That is also why it is worth checking in regularly if you live local to Billericay or surrounding areas.
What you will find here:
- Fresh produce arriving daily
- Branded items when we can secure a deal
- Short-dated stock that is still good but priced to clear
-
Everyday essentials at strong value
We have been serving local customers since 2001 and the aim is still the same. Offer good food at fair prices and keep things straightforward.
If you are passing, come in and have a look around. You might find something you were not expecting!
Any questions, just ask when you are in.
